Morville Street Social Housing Project

A new housing project involving the construction of 28 new dwellings by Lovell Homes for Birmingham Housing Trust built on a Brownfield site.

The construction was traditional due to the nature of the site, vibro stone column piles were adopted, providing a challenge for the builder when encountering a 17m deep well, existing high voltage cable and deep concrete pile foundations.  However these problems were easily overcome through the proficient and professionalism of the site and design team.  Full plan approval was given early into the build and an excellent level of consultation between the design team, site team and Building Consultancy was maintained throughout the project.
